 Ciriaca+Erre’s work is a radical act: transforming life itself into an art work.
Moving between philosophy, anthropology, activism and spirituality, she turn each step into a liminal experience suspended between the visible and invisible, presence and absence.
In 2022 the artist embarked on a journey lasting two years, two months and two days, crossing five continents. Her walking body became a living manifesto for Peace and the Planet. She crossed five continents: from Ethiopian communities to indigenous communities of the Amazon rainforest, To Japan on the 78th anniversary of the atomic bombings Hiroshima and Nagasaki and to the radioactive areas of Fukushima. The Journey also took her to a remote village in China where she encountered it the last matriarchal community in the world.

throughout this journey she seeks ancestral knowledge and encounters living utopias: communities experimenting with the more sustainable and peaceful way of inhabiting the planet.
Her artistic practice explores limits, fears and life itself, Merging visual research and a poetic civil disobedience.
She has lived with Japanese Buddhist monks, documented women still condemned as witches in Africa, and filmed Tibetan monks and prisoner in jail — bringing attention to human rights violation in the Italian penitentiary sistem.
Art becomes both resistance and revelation: 366 hours of silence, the gift of the self, the let it go of material possessions as an act of creation.
in her work the Human microcosm reflects the macrocosm: everything is connected, everything is One.
Today, she remains nomadic — questioning,travelling, experiencing — letting life itself become a work of art.

I due tratti che compongono la Via Ferrata delle Dolomiti Lucane sono:
La Via Ferrata Salemm sul versante di Castelmezzano ha una lunghezza di 1.731 metri e un dislivello di 249 metri.
La Via Ferrata Marcirosa sul versante di Pietrapertosa ha una lunghezza di 1.778 metri e un dislivello di 331 metri.
Il punto di partenza dei percorsi (area attrezzata Antro delle Streghe) si trova in una grande radura a valle del corso del Rio di Caperrino, un affluente del Basento che taglia a metà lo spazio che divide i versanti corrispondenti ai due paesi.
